Too Many Windows
03:50
|
|||
It's getting late, and my head is starting to ache
It's five past twelve; I've been online since a quarter to four
My evening's just half done but I've got so many programs to run
I need something more advanced than a dual core
I need to run Youtube
I need to run Facebook
I've gotta play Minesweeper as well
And how I need Skype to hand
To talk to my friends in distant lands
Though some choose to use MSN instead
I've got too many windows open at once
I don't know what to do
I can't run anything for
I've got too many windows open at once
I don't know what to do
I can't run anything at all
I've got too many windows open at once
I don't know what to do
I can't run anything for
I've got too many windows open at once
I don't know what to do (with these windows)
I can't run anything at all
Windows.
Too many windows.

Me At The Zoo
02:25
|
|||
There are lions and roaring tigers,
and enormous camels and things,
There are biffalo-buffalo-bisons,
and a great big bear with wings.
There's a sort of a tiny potamus,
and a tiny nosserus too -
But I gave buns to the elephant
when I went down to the Zoo!
There are badgers and bidgers and bodgers,
and a Super-in-tendent's House,
There are masses of goats, and a Polar,
and different kinds of mouse,
And I think there's a sort of a something
which is called a wallaboo -
But I gave buns to the elephant
when I went down to the Zoo!
If you try to talk to the bison,
he never quite understands;
You can't shake hands with a mingo -
he doesn't like shaking hands.
And lions and roaring tigers
hate saying, "How do you do?" -
But I give buns to the elephant
when I go down to the Zoo!
Here we are in front of the elephants
The cool thing about these guys
Is that they have really, really long,
er...trunks. And that's cool
And that's all there really is to say from
Me at the Zoo.

We Don't Go On Bebo
06:48
|
|||
I don't go on Bebo anymore
Haven't used it since about 2004
If I think about it, it was probably 2006
But to be honest I don't really give a... monkeys.
I use Facebook for 2 hours every day
I wouldn't talk to my friends any other way
And, hey, all the while
They're all there in my profile
John, Joe and that... paedophile.
We don't to on MySpace anymore
It would be accurate to say I've not been there since 2004
All my favourite bands
are at the tip of my hands
You can see them on my profile but no-one gives a
...monkeys about that.
I use Facebook for 4 hours every day
I wouldn't have it any other way
Home taping's killing music, and downloads too
Now we're only left with You-Tube.
I've not been to Woolworths of late
For the high street shops closed down in 2008
But I don't mind as
I ordered things online
It saves me time so I feel fine
I use Facebook for 8 hours every day
I wouldn't have it any other way
I know I'm kinda fat
But I don't care about that
It's not as if anyone can see me on the internet
I don't go to the park anymore
Haven't had exercise since the Iraq war
That's when we got broadband
To watch Dubya catch old Saddam
But he didn't know his biggest problem was in Pakistan
I don't go to work anymore
My employer saw my profile and, well, he showed me the door
He said it's not okay for me to "like" the BNP
And I made jokes about a dead baby.
I spent my whole life on Facebook
My real existence; its place took
I've not got any friends, in either realm
FML, it's living hell
I've not washed for years and I really smell
Mark Zuckerberg, I so hate thee
You really look like a massive dick.

You Know You're A Nerd
03:17
|
|||
You know you're a nerd
When a night out is spent online
You know you're a nerd
When you're on the internet all the time
You know you're a nerd
When you've bought a mac
You know you're a nerd
Because you bought an overpriced piece of crap
But let's be honest
Who really needs two mouse buttons anyway?
It's like having a social life; it's overrated.
I'm not really the person to ask about that
You know you're a nerd
When you get cold to show off your t-shirt
You know you're a nerd
When you get a uke to match your t-shirt
You know you're a nerd
When you learn the ukulele without a teacher
You know you're a nerd
When you know the difference between Dobby and Kreacher
Jazz interlude
You know you're a nerd
When you think all the pop songs sound the same
You know you're a nerd
When you think that record companies should take the blame
You know you're a nerd
When you think that all the pop is manufactured
You know you're a nerd
When you realise nothing rhymes with manufactured
And then write a song about it
All the pop songs sound the same

A Song About Grammar
03:05
|
|||
YOU’RE and YOUR have different meanings
But YOU’RE and YOUR sound quite the same
It’s just a pity we don’t spell phonetically
Then you’d not be likely
To make a prat of YOURself...
Even the most intelligent people I know
Sound like fools
On the Internet
The simple distinction
Between "you"r and "you are"
Relegates them to the bottom of the social ladder
In our song about grammar.
Sometimes IT’S hard when you’ve got a guitar
To stop twanging ITS strings but that’s not the point.
The point, IT IS, IT'S easy to spell
Unless you’re a moron
Even the most intelligent people I know
Sound like fools
On the Internet
The failed distinction
Between an “it is” and a possessive
Is enough to make me a...manic depressive?
THEY’RE always trying to tell you
They don’t look like fools spelling things THEIR way
But when you see it THERE
It’s somehow ironic...quite ironic
In our song about grammar.

We Don't Go On Facebook
02:08
|
|||
We can't go on Facebook anymore
The revolution came straight after the war
The soldiers came to town
And the servers got shut down
So we couldn't go on Facebook any more
We don't need Facebook any more
We'll kick our dictator straight out of the door
The protesters came to town
And we shut the roads down
So we don't need Facebook any more
We don't go on Facebook any more
Our new-found liberty is much more preferable
The dictator's gone to The Hague
And we started a new age
Of freedom for the people evermore.

Gone A Long Time
05:36
|
|||
We don't talk no more; we've gone our separate ways, but maybe I never knew you at all.
What about the time we spent?
Gone in a flash, there was no turning back for you.
Did it not mean and thing? We talked those nights away for oh-so-long, it's true.
And these are the best days of our lives,
sat alone, in despair by the phone.
I didn't know what you meant by that;
I never thought it'd be you.
You said that you loved me as we sat down by the riverside.
I said that I loved you too.
And whilst ever silver cloud is made of freezing wetness,
I couldn't believe it was true.
There's no denying in an age of social networks,
There's no denying it's true.
I remember the nights when the days weren't so long,
We talked those nights away for oh so, oh so long.
I've been calling you for days not, trying to get through;
I've been messaging for ages, but you don't want to know.
Was it impossible for you to communicate?
Cause I've been sitting here for hours, wondering what to do.
It was fun whilst it lasted, but now not so much.
You found someone else, so we don't talk no more.

Two In A Binary World
04:22
|
|||
Yeah I know how things have always been
I know how they're meant to be
I know it's ok to be zero or one
But what if there weren't two numbers but three?
Cause I'm a number two in a binary world
I'm so not going to do what I was told
I used to be so mainstream, but now you see
Now I'm indie I'm totally free.
Programmers say it's impossible
That I can't be an individual
They tell me that I'm not being digital
That my stubbornness is pitiful.
But I'm a number two in a binary world
I'm so not going to do what I was told
I used to be so mainstream, but now you see
Now I'm indie I'm totally free.
Everything they think of is dots and dashes
The lights go by in flickers and flashes
If digital is progress then count me out
Cause I'm a number two and the analogue is what I'm about.
Cause I'm a number two in a binary world
I'm so not going to do what I was told
I used to be so mainstream, but now you see
Now I'm indie I'm totally free.

Too Long; Didn't Listen
07:45
|
|||
This is the greatest and best song in the world.
It was late in '93, I was at the library
doing some research about exports of Indian tea
in 1960.
Some guy who I'd just met
said try out the internet;
you can find out all you ever wanted to know
and some things you'd rather not.
My life is filled with pointless information (too much information).
